Covered Bridge Metric Century

Come and enjoy, with us, the Lancaster Bicycle Club's 29th annual Covered Bridge Metric Century, on Sunday August 19, 2007. These 100, 50 and 25 kilometer (62, 31 & 15 mile) rides wind their way through some of Pennsylvania's most famous rural scenery, including seven covered bridges. The terrain is rolling with a few hills on the 100K ride and flat to moderately rolling on the 50K & 25K rides. The rewards are stunning vistas of the richest farmland in America.

Registration is $15 if you register on line with Active.com. If you choose to register by mail, the cost is $20, if postmarked by July 21, 2007 and $30 after that. Children 12 and under are free. The fee covers lunch, water stops, sag wagons, cue sheets, road markings, ice cream and a general good time. Additionally, a commemorative T-shirt can be purchased for $15 by July 21, 2007. T-shirts will not be available to purchase on the day of the event.

Back for 2007LBC has commissioned a special Covered Bridge Metric jersey. This jersey will be available to purchase both in advance and on the day of the event. The price will be $65 ($55 for LBC members). Sorry, we will be unable to accept credit cards on August 19 - cash or check only. To see an illustration of the jersey, click here.

You may register the day of the event. Registration (or check in for those who are pre-registered) is open from 7:30 AM - 9:30 AM. The course closes at 4:30 PM.
The ride starts in the Greenfield Industrial park at 1880 William Penn Way.
